Hi!  I’m Liz, owner of Liz Stankis Nutrition and the person behind this blog!

 I am a Coachella Valley Native and lover of all things nutrition related.  After graduating from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with my B.S. Nutrition and Minors in Latin American Studies and Spanish, I completed my 1200 hour internship at Fresno State University then headed back home to the desert.

For nearly ten years, I have worked with a variety of health conditions both in community and hospital settings.  For at least 7 of those years, my focus has been on kidney disease management. My general food philosophy is that no food is inherently “bad” but there are some general guidelines on what is “best” to eat to make you feel your best!  I’m here to help you navigate some of the very confusing nutrition information out there with science based evidence.
